Markings in the fittings industry

How important is marking in the fittings manufacturing industry? Obviously, very important, as in all other industries. In the photo, you can see the different markings on a cable gland, a widely used component in the fittings segment. The markings include:

1) LOGO
This is the manufacturer's logo. It is so important because anyone can tell immediately where the part came from, who the manufacturer is. Most of the time people buy a particular company's product because they trust the brand in question, its reputation, the warranty it can provide, and so on. It is imperative that the logo is well branded, otherwise it will convey the idea of a poorly made and cared for part.

2) PRODUCT CERTIFICATIONS.
If the product is subject to certification or must meet certain specifications or standards, it must be marked (marked) on its surface. Without this marking, the product cannot be sold in some markets or for some applications.

3) PRODUCT NAME
Every product has a name or at least a part number or code. It cannot be sold without it.

4) IP GRADE.
In this specific case it is mandatory to know what the maximum water resistance of the component is. Without this vital information the product can have or can create serious damage

5) MAXIMUM PRESSURE

Again, this information is mandatory for the proper use of the component

6) OPERATING TEMPERATURE
This information is vital for the part to work perfectly
